I'm so grateful, though, for the opportunity to "go aside for a while" to replenish myself, to learn something about making worship meaningful, to visit with my loved ones, and to get to know folks in churches all around the Southeast.
My "swan song" at the Presbytery meeting was participating in a Mission Skit written by Jeff Kackley, pastor at First Pulaski. He wrote an amazing, hilarious script. I had the starring role: "Little Bubba Church" of Bubbaville Presbyterian. It was great fun to ham it up and get to dress like Gomer Pyle. I am sure I will never live that down!
